Utah County Fair Wrap Up

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011

This year’s Utah county fair was great! We had a raffle for the LEGO Star Wars Bounty Hunter Assault Gunship 7930. Congratulations to our winner Polly Billings.

We were constantly busy with so many of you coming to see what novelties and creation this year’s fair had brought. Our favorites were of course the other closet adult Lego fans (you know who you are, and now we do to), and in very close second, were the kids. I don’t know why, but there is something magical about the looks of wonder and awe that graced their faces as they circled the table with exclamations of “I have that set”, “look it’s a storm trooper”, or “There’s Captain Jack Sparrow”. City
My favorite comment was from a mother who said “this is a great Idea putting the Lego display in the same building as the quilts” I asked why, as it was not one that struck me as the best placement I could think of (thought the livestock stables certainly would have in my opinion been worse), to which she responded “because now I can look at all of the quilts while they look at the Lego’s” In the same way we hope that our display was just as fun and enjoyable for everyone, whether you came for the quilts, because you were a boyscout and needed to have your card signed, or for the Lego. And please come see us again next year, or better yet at the next show.
