Begining today, LEGO is giving away the Iron Man vs Fighting Drone Set pictured below with any purchase over $50 when you shop online or instore.

Normally I love LEGO fig giveaway with purchase, they have a tenancy to increase dramatically in value, but this one Does not look like it will go that route. Closer inspection reveals that this is the same Iron Man fig that you get as part of Set #6867 Loki’s Cosmic Cube Escape
So it’s a rather bland giveaway, and If your an Iron man collector, you likely already have this version of Iron man. If you don’t and you still want it, or you’re a Poly bag collector this might be the time to buy. otherwise this set is a pass.

back in January we posted the news about the upcomming LEGO Marvel Super Heroes game, now the news is circulating, about the pre-order exclusive minifig you can get with the game, when you buy pre-order through Walmart.
This is not your average fig either, it’s the IRON Patriot.

I don’t know whey, I consider my self a DC guy, but something about Iron Man, just enamors me, so that I have to have them all. If LEGO makes all 42 of the armor types, you can bet I will have them, so Iron Patriot is a must have. So I’ll be pre-ordering this, but not yet, I see no reason to depart with my hard earned cash just yet. But if you do you can pre-order instore, or online
Is It on your must have list as well?

I have assumed for a long time, that something like this had to be coming, what with all of the exclusive sets for the star wars universe there had to be plans to release some for the Lord of the Rings licence as well. So in the first of what I assume will be many, Lego announced the release of the first set.
And While Lego has done a great Job capturing the likeness of the actual Tower of Orthanic, It simply does not compare to some of the other built by fan builders, including our very own Cody O But all the same, if your a LEGO fan, or Tolkenist, your going to want your own copy of the official LEGO set, which will be available available from Lego online or in store beginning July 2013 for US$ 199.99.
Check out more photos of the set in our gallery, and read the official LEGO press release after the break (more…)

If you or your kidlets are any sort of LEGO fan, you’ve likely heard about the Special Promotional “Mr Gold” Minifig being released as part Series 10, and just in case you haven’t heard, here’s the scoop:
As a celebration of the LEGO Minifigures 10th series release, LEGO is adding a 17th figure to this run, a figure, called “Mr Gold”. unlike all of the other series Mr Gold is extremely rare, there are only 5,000, these 5,000 figures will be randomly inserted into cases of series 10 Minifigures, so that not even every box will have one. Finding him will be require a whole lot of luck effort, doggedness, and good timing.
If your one of those who wants one of them all, I wish you luck, and if you are ready to start you search, you can begin now at Smith’s Market place stores. Not scheduled to be released until May 1st Smiths market place as jumped the gun.
See all of the series 10 minifigures on the LEGO mini-figure website.
