The Utah County Fair was a huge success, held from August 3rd to 5th, 2023. The event was a remarkable gathering of LEGO enthusiasts and the public, a true celebration of imagination and creativity. The centerpiece of the event was the captivating LEGO display, an assemblage of creativity that enthralled all attendees. This dynamic showcase included an enchanting train loop and an impressive array of MOCs (My Own Creations) that adorned the entire room. An awe-inspiring highlight was the Washington DC LDS Temple, a MOC that offered a minifigure-scale representation, leaving attendees in awe. The theme of castle came to life in the train loop, where 6 castle displays, along with a Elsa castle, engaged in a visually captivating and dynamic clash of castle factions. The trains ran their tracks throughout the weekend, offering young and old alike a mesmerizing sight that brought smiles to countless faces. City-themed displays, including the Eiffel Tower, completed the train loop and added depth to the immersive experience. Among the crowd-pleasers was the fun Blacktron exhibit in a crop-circle-style design, and the fun custom Star Wars characters, which added an extra layer of excitement to the atmosphere. Starship Troopers bugs drew enthusiastic responses from fans of the franchise, as their presence added a fun touch to the event. A highlight of audience engagement was the “I Heart Utah” build, an interactive activity that resonated deeply with attendees. The chance to create and take home their own LEGO creations was met with overwhelming popularity, nearly depleting supplies. The club also hosted a LEGO draft, where participants navigated three tables filled with a variety of LEGO parts. The event emerged as a true triumph, showcasing the awesome LEGO creations and offering an unforgettable experience for all participants. Attendees’ joy and fascination showed the event’s success, and the club looks forward to being part of the Utah County Fair again.
