    The Ophir, Tintic, and Western Train Show (OT&W) took place at the Utah County Fairgrounds in Spanish Fork, UT to the delight of train enthusiasts from across the region.

    The ULUG train loop is always a guest favorite, and featured environments from from sixteen builders. including:

  • Star Wars Night with the Utah Grizzlies

    Star Wars Night with the Utah Grizzlies

    In one of the last games of their final season in Utah, the minor league Grizzlies held a themed Star Wars night in their game against the Wichita Thunder. The evening featured characters and droids in cosplay, a stadium filled with special graphics and music from the films, and a LEGO display of Star Wars sets and MOCs by ULUG.

    The game itself was great for fans as well – with the Grizzlies scoring in the first few minutes of play, falling behind at the end of the first period, tying up the score in the third period, and winning in overtime 3-2.

  • Bricks in Brigham City

    Bricks in Brigham City

    In collaboration with the local Boys and Girls Club, Bricks in Brigham City is a free chance for kids and families to come and get their hands on LEGO bricks and discover creativity. In addition to seeing the builds from our members, attendees could build with the loose bricks and contribute to the mosaic wall.

    The ULUG brought builds and a train loop from from seven builders. including:

  • Hostlers Model Railroad Festival

    Hostlers Model Railroad Festival

    At the historic Union Station in Ogden, UT, the Hostlers Model Railroad Festival celebrates the city’s place in American railroading history.

    Kanab Train Show

    On the Utah/Arizona border, the Kanab Train Show is set in the perfect blend of small town charm and stunning red rock desert.

    JanuARTy

    Each year the Valley Fair Mall in West Valley City hosts an art and craft market, cutely named JanuARTy. This festival had local artists and vendors, an art contest, cosplay, and more!

    The Utah LEGO Users Group brought several tables of MOCs to display from nine builders.

  • Murray City Library Display

    Murray City Library Display

    We partnered with the Murray City Library to display LEGO creations! For the month of January, the display cases were filled with builds. Like everything at the library, the display was free to the public to enjoy whenever the library is open.

    The display was to promote their new monthly LEGO building event for kids, which is held on the third Wednesday evening of each month and led by ULUG members.

  • Intermountain Train Expo

    Intermountain Train Expo

    Held at the Stadler US facility, the train show offered rail enthusiasts a chance to see the manufacturing facility where they build commuter trains.

    The ULUG train loop had eighteen connected displays from sixteen builders, covering around 450 square feet of Lego. Two tracks circled the entire space, and destinations along the route included:

    • A train yard.
    • A train station.
    • A construction site.
    • An impressive grain silo.
    • Harry Potter, Minecraft, Animal Crossing, and other pop culture-inspired areas .
  • FanX 2025

    FanX 2025

    Utah’s largest comic and media convention, FanX is an annual chance for fans to meet celebrities, dress in cosplay, attend panels, and engage with their favorite fandoms. It is the largest comic convention per capita in North America!

    ULUG brought several builds to delight fans and show the variety of things that LEGO can do – from mosaics inspired by Star Wars and the Big Bang Theory, to brick-built video game scenes from Pokémon, Minecraft, to pirate ships big and… well, bigger! The show-stopping build was the 12-foot long collaboration: the up-scaled Black Seas Barracuda!

  • BrickSlopes 2025

    BrickSlopes 2025

    It was another successful year at BrickSlopes for ULUG and members! This year’s theme was “A Pirate’s Life for Me” and the show was open to the public for three days with thousands of attendees. As the largest event of the year in the mountain west for AFOLs (adult fans of LEGO), it was a great chance to connect with other builders, showcase our best builds, and share our love of the brick with the public.

    One staple of a LEGO convention is awards for the favorite MOCs of the judges, the attendees, and the public. ULUG members took home 13 awards!

    Once again, ULUG coordinated and hosted the train loop at BrickSlopes. In addition, dozens of ULUG members brought their MOCs and attended the convention to share their builds with the public. Here are some of the MOCs by ULUG members from the show:
