There were 54 people in attendance, including 12 guests and 4 remote viewers.

At this meeting, the group met at a local park to share MOCs, eat potluck lunch and desserts, build together, and just hang out with other LEGO fans. The weather was slightly windy but comfortable, and there was more food than could be eaten.

    LEGO Brick CAKE CONTEST

A few of the club members baked cakes to resemble LEGO pieces. Entries were judged on appearance and taste.

The “ULUG” cake was crowned the victor of appearance, and the yellow cake was crowned the most delicious.

  • ULUG AN Official LEGO Fan Community

ULUG AN Official LEGO Fan Community

The Utah Lego Users Group has been accepted as an officially recognized LEGO Fan Community by the LEGO Group as a part of their LEGO Fan CoLab program. This means that we work closely with LEGO to share experiences with our local community at our events, and communicate the feelings and experiences of our members back to LEGO to help create even better experiences for LEGO fans.

The kinds of things that ULUG is already doing are exactly what LEGO is looking for in a fan community – creating opportunities for adult fans to get together and connect, taking LEGO builds out into the community, and providing hands-on experiences to the public.

The LEGO Fan CoLab program is replacing the LEGO Ambassador Network (LAN) program that served as an official bridge between fans communities, influencers, and official events and the LEGO company. You can learn more about the LEGO Fan CoLab program on their website.

    July 2026

There were 51 people in attendance, including 6 guests and 10 remote viewers. At this meeting, we made last-minute preparations for our final summer shows, talked about volunteers for the local BrickSlopes convention, and reviewed eligibility requirements for participation in next year’s club bulk order.

    ACTIVITY

To prepare for the upcoming free “Take ‘N Build” activity for the public at the Utah County Fair, club members sorted the bulk parts order into individual parts, allowing for a more streamlined building process at the show. This year’s theme for the fair was “There’s Magic at the Fair” and the build was a 9-piece rabbit in a hat!

At this meeting, Nephi W. showed an example section for a train loop and there was previous shows were discussed and upcoming shows were planned. As always, there was a fantastic MOC show and tell. There was also a reminder to the group that while we are a group of primarily adults, we are also a family-friendly space and more mature topics or conversations are best had in other forums.

    PRESENTATION

With the introduction of the SMART Brick system by the LEGO group in March, Nephi gave a quick demonstration of how the SMART bricks, tiles, and figures work together and gave members and guests a chance to come and play with them directly.
